Information for Visitors

This section of our website contains helpful information for making your visit to a patient at Cobleskill Regional Hospital as convenient as possible. Remember, if you have a cough, cold, flu-like symptoms, or a known contagious illness, you should not visit a hospital patient.

Visiting Hours
Noon – 8:30 p.m. daily
Visiting hours for patients on the inpatient medical unit (Holmes Wing) and in the Short-Stay Rehabilitation Program

(Progressive Care Unit) are very flexible. General guidelines: from 12 noon to 8:30 p.m. daily.

Entrances
There are several entrances to the hospital, and while the hospital ED is open and accessible 24 hours a day, all entrances are locked during the overnight hours. Please see below for detailed information:

Upper Level “Main” Entrance --
The main registration entrance is on the hospital’s upper level next to the Emergency Department. This upper level lobby entrance is open daily until 8:00 p.m..
This entrance is suggested for those who are visiting the Medical Imaging Department, Ambulatory Care Clinics, Laboratory, Sleep Lab, and Audiology.

Emergency Department --
The Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day. During the overnight hours, access can be obtained by ringing the buzzer next to the door.

Lower Level Entrance –
The Lower Level Entrance is adjacent to the Coffee and Gift Shop and is open during normal business hours.
This entrance is suggested for those who are registering for lower-level services, including MRI, outpatient surgery, and physical therapy/rehabilitative serves; for people attending meetings in Administration or the Morrissey Conference Room; or for those who are visiting the Health Information Management (Medical Records) Department or the Business Office.

Inpatient Unit (Holmes Wing) Entrance (access from ED/Upper-Level Parking Lot) —
This entrance is open daily during visiting hours until 8:00 p.m..
This entrance is suggested for those who are visiting an inpatient at the hospital – on either the Holmes Wing Medical Inpatient Unit or the Short-Stay Rehabilitation Program (Progressive Care Unit).

Women’s Health/Rehab Services Entrances (Lower-Level, west end of building)
This entrance provides convenient during weekday business hours for patients of the Women's Health Center and Outpatient Rehab areas.

Parking
Parking is always free at Cobleskill Regional Hospital, and visitor parking is located just steps from the hospital’s entrances in either the lower or upper parking (ED) lot. If you are visiting an inpatient on the Holmes Wing or in the Short-Stay Rehabilitation Unit, we suggest that you park in the upper-level parking lot.

Cafeteria
Our cafeteria offers inexpensive, homemade lunch fare -- entrees, soup and sandwiches, a salad bar, and delicious desserts. The daily lunch menu features a heart-healthy entrée. The cafeteria is located on the hospital’s lower level. Open on Mondays through Fridays, from 11:00 a.m to 1:30 p.m. The cafeteria is closed on weekends.

Auxiliary Coffee and Gift Shop
The warm and friendly Coffee and Gift Shop run by the hospital’s Auxiliary offers inexpensive breakfast, snacks, and lunch items, including delicious daily “lunch specials” homemade by the volunteers, Mondays through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00  p.m. The shop sells greeting cards, daily newspapers, candy, small gift items, cold and hot beverages, and snack items. Proceeds support the services of Cobleskill Regional Hospital. The Coffee and Gift Shop is closed on weekends.

Newspapers
You can buy newspapers in the gift shop on the lower level.

Rest Rooms
There are public rest rooms adjacent to the upper and lower level lobbies, and also around the hospital. You can ask any staff member for the one closest to you.
